Notifications

Service Scout notifies you about assignments, @mentions, billing events, inbound SMS, proposal responses, and more—by email, in-app records, and (when configured) realtime updates in the browser.

Notification list

  1. Open Notifications from the main navigation.
  2. Review unread and read items; open an item to jump to the related issue, user, or resource when a link is provided.
  3. Use mark as read on individual items or mark all read when you are caught up.

This page gives a durable history beyond the small dropdown in the header.

Realtime updates

When your organization turns on live updates for the app, new notifications can appear without refreshing the page. If that is not enabled, notifications still work—they update when you load a page or open the list.

Note: Non-production sites (for example a staging copy) sometimes need the same hosting setup as your live site for live updates to work. Ask your admin if notifications only refresh after a reload.

Preferences

  1. Click your account menu (name / avatar).
  2. Open Alerts & notifications (wording may match your deployment).
  3. Choose which events send email vs stay in-app, and tune categories your admin exposes.

Workspace defaults may still apply; some high-priority notices cannot be fully disabled.

Common notification types

Examples (actual list depends on your workspace):

  • Issue created, updated, assigned, or deleted
  • @mentions in comments
  • Estimates and invoices
  • Inbound SMS
  • Proposal accepted or declined (when enabled)
